SNDTRK1 c'est mon premier livre, sur lequel je travaille depuis quelques années et qui paraît enfin, Je souhaitais en faire un véritable objet, conçu avec soin jusque dans les moindres détails : design, mise en page, choix des images et qualité du papier.

Pendant plus de 35 ans, j'ai vécu et pratiqué un art aussi fascinant que marginal : le graffiti. Un art interdit, parfois incompris, qui m'a fasciné très tôt… et que je n'ai jamais vraiment abandonné. Il y a quelques années, lors d'un déménagement, j'ai trouvé une enveloppe remplie de négatifs oubliés. Par curiosité, je les ai fait numériser, sans vraiment savoir ce que j'allais découvrir. Et puis, tout m'est revenu d'un coup : les images, les lieux, les visages, les atmosphères. Des souvenirs que je croyais perdus. Des fragments de ma vie. C'est à ce moment précis qu'est née l'idée de ce livre.

Pour mener à bien ce projet, j’ai fait appel à Stéphane (Func88) Et Marie-Anne (Bloody Mary) pour le graphisme et la mise en page. Marc-Aurèle Vecchione (Orel), INXS (Dirty Handz), Jay One, Turs (Func88), Teach et Ven (Adam X) enrichissent également l’ouvrage de leurs mots : souvenirs, émotions, points de vue personnels, tantôt sous forme de métaphores, tantôt au fil de conversations spontanées. Ces témoignages forment un récit authentique, sans artifice ni mise en scène.

Le livre commence à la fin des années 1980 et se termine en 2001, lorsque j'ai quitté Paris pour New York.

For over 35 years, I've lived and practiced an art form as fascinating as it is marginal: graffiti. A forbidden, sometimes misunderstood art form, which grabbed me very early on... and which I've never really left behind. A few years ago, while moving, I found an envelope filled with forgotten negatives. Out of curiosity, I had them scanned, without really knowing what I would discover. And then, everything came back to me at once: the images, the places, the faces, the atmospheres. Memories I thought were lost. Pieces of my life. It was at that precise moment that the idea for this book was born.

To bring this project to fruition, I called upon Stéphane (Func88) and Marie-Anne (Bloody Mary) for the graphics and layout. In addition, Marc-Aurèle Vecchione (Orel), INXS (Dirty handz), Jay One, Turs (Func88), Teach, and Ven (AOK) enrich the book with their words: memories, emotions, personal perspectives... sometimes in the form of metaphors, sometimes in spontaneous conversation. These testimonies form an authentic narrative, without posturing or artifice.

The book begins in the late 1980s and ends in 2001, when I left Paris
for New York.
